A question about : Pension Fund Transfer to SIPP

I have a whole lot of deferred pension pots.

Whilst I contribute to my current occupational scheme, I want to consolidate all the others.

Any idea how much I will be charged to transfer?

Fixed sum? Percentage of the funds being transferred?

A question about : New State Pension

I have an old pension statement which says 38yr (to Apr 14) and I'll get a basic of 113.10 plus some graduated which gives a total of >148. Am I right in that I will get this higher amount, and even if I work more and pay more NI I won't get anything more? That is, there is no advantage to continuing to work over retiring?

A question about : virgin pensions low charges??? is it worth it

I took out a virgin pensions about 4 years ago
( I run my own small business) just myself and 1 other parttime
I just pay Ј3600 into a stakeholder
I chose virgin as it had the lowest charges at the time
1) how does it perform compared to other pensions
2) Now as through other sites you can claim charegs back, is it probably better to swap elsewhere?

I am so sorry if this has been asked before but not able to use the PC like I used to and carry out searching.

I get my normal OAP (from 65) and a small occupational pension (from 58 - ill health retired early) and my wife age 65 similarly gets her OAP (from 60) and a very small occupational pension.

can i now buy the house using my company pension?ie selff invested in residential property
i already have a mortgage on my house
or what would be an alternative strategy?

I am being made redundant and am trying to get my head around the best way to use some of my redundancy payment as pensions contributions. It's proving to be a very frustrating tasks. Despite the fact that I work for a large, reputable, mutual (for now) life assurance company, no one (internal) seems to be able to answer my questions!
