Help planning my charity event!

A question about : Help planning my charity event!

Last week we were told that my gran had terminal cancer and that she has 3-6 months to live. I've spent the last few days crying and hating the horrible disease but I realise that I can't change anything.

I want to arrange a charity night in her honour, I'm thinking a masquerade ball. I've got plans for the venue, dj, raffle etc but I'm not sure what to do throughout the night to keep people entertained?

Ahhhh Help needed

A question about : Ahhhh Help needed

OK, I run a Wheelchair Rugby Club, The Dorset Destroyers, which is NOT A CHARITY, but is just a regular sports club, but I have tried doing several fundraising sites like just giving etc who keep asking for Charity numbers etc and we have nothing like that, nor do we want to at the moment as it's too complicated and not enough of us to do anything as it is.

So, is there a good website that you can take money from people who want to donate to a Sports Club that is not a Charity?

Most efficient charity to leave my money to

A question about : Most efficient charity to leave my money to

Looking for the most efficient charities to leave my money to.

Main preference is for children's charities in the UK, terminally ill, cancer and cruelty of children.

I don't want to be funding high salaries and expensive company cars as I have witnessed.

A charity that would assist in making my will and executing it would be good. I am leaving 25% of my assets to my friend and the other 75% to charity.

Genuine positive and constructive advice only please.

Ex Services and Disabled Wheelchair Rugby Club in Dorset

A question about : Ex Services and Disabled Wheelchair Rugby Club in Dorset

Hi All

As you can imagine fundraising for Wheelchair Rugby Chairs is not cheap.

Each Wheelchair costs Ј2,600 and every penny counts.

Can you help us by donating, even for the price of a cup of coffee.

Not only are we helping the Disabled in the Community, but Ex Service Men and Women and Current Service Men and Women.

Thanks for your time title=Smile

Toys for play not for sale

A question about : Toys for play not for sale

Hello, due to recent bereavement I have a lot of toys, some new some used some very used.

I would like these to go to children who would play with them and get enjoyment rather than to a charity shop for money.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Give item to charity shop or sell and give proceeds?

A question about : Give item to charity shop or sell and give proceeds?

Hi Mum has just started to clear out some of my dad's possessions (he died 2 years ago)
She wants to donate a set of classical cassette tapes to the charity shop.

I have just looked on Ebay and the exact same set has recently sold for Ј100.
Is it better to sell the tapes and donate the money or just let the charity shop do their work?

How reliable is the selling on Ebay for charity does anyone know?
