A question about : Converting from a charitable company to a trust

It seems there is lots of information about incorporating, but I cannot find anything about going the other way.

Ideally I'd just tell Companies House the company is closing, and let the Charities Commission, the bank, and HMRC know of the name change (losing the 'ltd') and change in legal status.

A question about : Can a charity shop be called a charity shop if its not actually a charity?

Near where I live there is a charity shop for cats.. Most people would assume it was Cats Protection as the shop sign has .org.uk on its website (which doesnt exist) and the place has Charity shop for cat rescue sign outside..

A look on Charity Comm website doesnt bring up anything about it being a charity. Infact, all I could find out is that its a local cat rescue place that has about 10 cats.

A question about : Small Charity IT Requirements

We are a small, young (2 years old) health charity providing support to people with muscular dystrophy. We are in need of new IT equipment but have limited spending power.
Can anyone suggest good options to purchase charity IT equipment (we use the Microsoft CTX service for software) with good spec, decent prices and payment options so no big upfront costs?

A question about : Companies that will donate raffle prizes

I am planning a charity skydive for Crohns and Colitis UK in memory of my boyfriend who passed away suddenly aged just 25. 19 of his closest family and friends are all planning on taking part in the skydive which means we have an awful lot of money to raise.
In order to raise the money we are hoping to hold some charity nights and do raffles and things but I just want to know if anyone has had any success in getting any companies to donate any prizes and what companies are best to approach.
