A question about : Which UNI are you at?

There seems to have been a few is anyone at X university? threads lately.

I vote that we all post which university we're at here (if you want to of course) and then I'll create a list at the top of this thread.

I hope people find this thread useful. I thought people could look up people at their university and PM them if they have any questions about halls, the university in general or just want to make friends with people at their university.

I'm in a hugely anti-OU mood today. I'm nearing the end of my studies in June (when I'll get my degree), but I really dislike the OU

For background, I did a BA at a 'traditional' uni back between 2003-2006. I loved it - but didn't really gain much from the 'learning' experience. I did well enough, but I can barely remember much of it (I suppose that's quite common).

Hi, I know this is a little bit late for my student finance but I am currently a second year undergraduate at university. In Year One I was living at home with my mum and brother who's household income was low enough to be able to apply for the maximum Maintenance Grant. So I got roughly Ј3,350 off Student Finance England.

A question about : Student nurse and partner unemployed

Hi guys I am going to be making an appointment with CAB to ask these questions although I thought I would ask in here too in case anybody has any experience of our situation. Myself and partner have two children at home and I am beginning a nursing degree so I will be receiving a bursary my partner currently claims JSA as he is unemployed at the moment - hopefully this will change soon but if not will he need to stop his claim when I begin university ? Can't seem to find any information that is relevant to us

A question about : how do you live off student loans if it all goes on rent

i know this sounds a really stupid question.
i have been reading a lot lately on student finance and budgeting etc as my son is off to uni next month.
but a lot is printed about living off your student loan and not going into your over draft.... but i thought the student maintenance loan paid your rent for the year and you had to have other finance.. eg job .. or mum.. for daily living expenses.....
