A question about : My savings journey

I've decided to start keeping a log on my savings as I hope it'll help me stick to it.

My main target it so put away Ј3500 base savings for emrgencies etc, as the general rule seems to be that you should have three months' worth of wages saved up. Ј3500 is a bit over this, but it's a nice round figure

Once that's reached, I can focus on overpaying my mortgage and try add to my other savings to go towards redecorating and modernizing the house.

A question about : Ј100 To Open A Current Account With The Cooperative Bank

Co-Op are offering a Ј100 for anybody who opens there new Current Account Plus Account. This offer is only available in the branches and not telephone banking although you can phone up the branch and apply over the phone.

1. Introduction

A question about : If QE Was Withdrawn....

If QE Was withdrawn with immediate effect tomorrow how much do you think the markets would fall?

It seems the markets are propped up by investors riding the Equity QE gravy train and at a slight sniffle from the USA that QE may be tapered down people are selling off and it has had an effect.

If it was removed totally my prediction would be a 35 to 40% drop in the markets.

This is an excellent site with many helpful ideas but it has really come a cropper after recommending the deposit of savings in Iceland banks kaupthing and icesave.

Since Icesave crashed and froze our accounts last week, we are really no wiser as to what is happening to our money!

Who is paying us and when will we receive the forms, what is the estimated time we will see money back?

These are all question we want an answer to!
Yes thank you Gordon Brown & Alistair Darling for saying we will all get our money back, but we need to be kept informed.
If we search the FSA or FSCS there are no new updates, we have to search news sites for the latest information.
