A question about : Do nationwide re-credit check before completion

Hi, has anyone else experienced a re-credit check before completion with nationwide. I am buying a new build and it will be 3 months from mortgage offer to completion?

i am just looking to remortgage as im about to enter the final year of a 5 year fixed rate mortgage (rate is terrible), ive done the sums based on the ERC and its should be a good decision, my only questions are:-

1) at what point does the remortgage becoming binding? i.e. if my new lenders valuation shows my property is worth less than i paid could they up the remortgage rate as my LTV rate would have decreased?

Hi all, really need some advice... here is the story...

My partner and I are FTB. We have reserved a house priced at Ј139995 until late march, with a solicitor in place and a mortgage pretty much secured. The house however is based on a new site and only land work such as drainage is in progress, we will be first people to live on site (hopefully). Estimated completion date is Sep 15.

A question about : Remortgage

When looking at remortgaging do you have to pay and early repayment charge then or are they only applicable of turn ina fixed term deal?

• ERC's normally only apply while in a fixed term product.
  They'll be a mortgage redemption/exit fee to pay as well in any event. Normally around Ј125-Ј150.

A question about : Using MSE mortgage calculator for Share to Buy?

Hey!

I've recently been accepted on a Share To Buy flat and now want to shop around for mortgages.

Can I use the MSE calculator to do this? If so, how? Getting a bit confused.

Can I just set the borrow amount to 25% (the percentage I am going to have a mortgage on) to then find the best deals?

A question about : If Gazumped do Nationwide still charge an application fee

I am hoping that someone will be able to advise; here is our timeline so far:

5th Feb - DIP nationwide received for 155k
6th Feb - lost out on property due to a higher offer
16th Feb - Offer accepted on new property
17th Feb - Full mortgage application completed for 174k
18th Feb - Survey completed
20th Feb - Additional wage slip requested and supplied the same day
23rd Feb - call from EA to advise we have been gazumped.

A question about : Freehold Flat Mortgage

Having troubles finding a lender who will offer a deal on a freehold flat. The flat is one of 4 in the building. Each of the owners have shares in the freehold company that was set up.

I used an IFA who tells me that the only company willing to consider lending are Natwest they have since turned down the application.

We are now looking at remortgaging with our existing provider who consequently no longer consider freehold properties for mortgage.
