A question about : Goodbye Mortgage

Hello!

I've been lurking for a while and have finally plucked up the courage to start my own diary.

My OH and I moved into our current house a few months ago (it doesn’t feel that long!) We bought it for Ј125,000 and we have a mortgage with Woolwich for Ј102,000. It's a 3 year fixed at 4.28%.

A question about : A real chance to go for it.

After many years of lurking on this forum, I think I should start a thread to keep me motivated.

Due to a fantastic bit of kindness by my father I have been gifted a chance to become mortgage free before my 40th birthday. Which would be amazing and really change my young family's life.

Hey Everyone/Anyone!

As we recently paid off my debts, I'm desperate for us to keep on track and carry on working towards our main goal of home ownership! So I'm hoping it's okay to post here, as I'm not an official MFW.. yet!

I live with my OH, and our goofy puppy, in a house that we currently rent but are aiming to buy. So over the next few years we will be saving up our deposit. And the smaller the mortgage the better, so we need to get crack-a-lackin'!

A question about : In the big house

Hello there!

We have previously been mortgage free having repaid the mortgage on our old house in February 2011. However, we moved house in July 2014 and needed to take out a new one for Ј90400. Ј400 is the admin fee.

I really don't like having a mortgage and it is my aim to clear it as soon as we can. I am hoping that this diary will help us stay focussed and allow us to look back on what we have achieved. A little company along the way is welcome too !

I have been reading these boards for a while and decided to start my own diary in order to motivate myself.
I'm 41, married with two kids and a nutty cat.
This is my second time around. We paid off our mortgage a few years ago. So why am I here I hear you ask. Well, we decided to move to a bigger house and rent out the first house.
So now we have a ahem Ј172k mortgage. It's interest only but the aim is to overpay so that the first house is a pension pot.
