A question about : Visa Gift Cards for buying currency??

Hoping someone can help with this:

At work we won Ј700 of vouchers each. One of my colleagues spent all of his on prepaid Visa gift cards at Ј50 each.

He planned to buy Ј700 of US dollars for his holiday, but it seems nowhere will accept the gift cards!

The cards and swipe and sign, the reason for refusal is that they aren't chip and pin, yet they clearly state they can be used anywhere that accepts Visa.

A question about : How to prebook seats on Easyjet

Anyone help please

have booked a holiday from on the beach with easy jet flight and hotel site does not allow to prebook seats on plane

So can i pre book seats even though flight not booked through easyjet

it is me hubby and 6 year old if seats are not prebooked what are the chances of us being able to sit together and also so at least one of us is my my son as he has special needs and is disabled so would not be able to sit alone on the plane.

A question about : Best way to take Zloty?

Not going for a while, but if a prepaid card is order of the day, then I'd like to top the balance up little by little so I've got a decent sum when I go.

I'm off to Poland for a weekend in September. Obviously I need to take some zloty. What's the best way of doing this. I can't get a credit card or change bank account, and the current accounts are Halifax Reward and Co-Operative.

I use a prepaid Sainsbury's/Travelex dealy for Euro, but I go there a bit more often. Should I just take cash?

A question about : Flight cancellation alteration resulting 10 hour stopover

We are going to China with Qatar airlines via Doha. On the return we had a 2 hour changeover but now they have cancelled that flight resulting in a 10 hour stopover. Can they do this with no compensation? Seems unfair.

One the advice of this site I have been using a Caxton FX Euro card for a couple of years and, until recently, have had no complaints.
After a summer Holiday in Sicily I had a balance of about Ђ220 on the card and decided to leave it there as I travel to Europe 4 or 5 times a year.
In early December I received a call form Caxton's Anti- Fraud department as my card had been used several times in the previous weeks all in places in the UK and, for the largest payment, to pay PlusNet broadband.

A question about : Halifax Clarity Credit Card

Hi guys,

I am planning to use my Halifax Clarity Credit card for my trip abroad next week. I haven't used a credit card abroad before but was looking to withdraw cash at the ATMs once I get there rather than try and carry cash with me.

Does anyone know if there is a daily limit like debit cards to how much cash I can withdraw from this card at a cash machine? I am looking to withdraw around Ј2000?

A question about : Refund for hold luggage

I have searched the web high and low and can not find an answer so thought I would come here.

I have booked too much luggage for a flight in Feb2015. I have booked 2 cases but now only need to take one. If I reduce my bagged to 1 case will I get a refund?

Also, if I booked 2 cases and only turn up with one, will this be a security issue and subsequently be charged more?
