My employer wants to change my death in service benefit from 4 x salary to 2 x salary saying that they cannot find a company that offers more than 2 x salary.

My contract does not state what multiple is offered only that a DIS is available.

Since I started over 3.5 years ago it has always been 4 x.

Can it be reduced?

A question about : RAF Interview

Hi,

My teenage son has his long awaited appointment tomorrow to sit the RAF Selection Tests. If he passes all the tests (I've had a good look over the practise questions and they are NOT easy!!) he then proceeds to the interview panel.

I've told him to do his research around the RAF etc but has anyone recently been through this please? Any idea of the sort of things he is likely to be asked? Any pointers to what I should ask him to read up on?

So I finished a Fixed Term Contract at the end of January. The company I was working for called me last week and asked if I could go back for another couple of weeks. As I'm still jobhunting (desperate for a more permanent job!) I'm not sure how to display this on my CV.

Does anybody know if there some other ways of getting financial help, to go for HGV driving licence test other than going through the NEW DEAL scheme?

It's a long story, but being a woman doesn't seem to attract much simpathy in wanting a "man's job", like being a trucker...

A question about : Any hope for 17 year old?

Can anyone tell me if they know of any career/training programmes available to a lad of 17yrs who is dyslexic and ADHD. He visits the job centre every day but does' nt seem to be getting much help other than the vaccancies he opts for on the boards. I have looked on the web for help but each time I think Ive found something its either not available in the hertfordshire area or hes not old enough.
I would be greatful for anybodys help as hes getting quite desperate.
