A question about : Advice please!!!!

Thank you in advance for taking time to read this post, not sure if this is the correct section to post under but looking for some advice please.

My partner and I bought a house in early December 2014 and are wanting to extend. We were recommended 2 architects , one from a family friend and the other by someone who cuts my partners hair who had done some drawings for him.

A question about : Used no knowledge of debt letter

I have used the no knowledge of debt letter. The company have acknowledged receipt of the letter and said they will not contact me again but told me all future communication must be made to their client Lowell-Lloyds. What do I do now?

A question about : Fixed sum credit agreements

Just come across this whilst browsing the other day, don't know if anyone else is aware of this.
Since 2008, anyone on a fixed sum credit agreement, for example, a loan or car finance, is supposed to receive a statement of account, at least every six months whilst the account is active.

If the creditor fails to provide the statements, they are not complying with the CCA 1974, part V1, section 77 A, they can't enforce the agreement, or charge interest or add default charges, for the full period of non compliance.

A question about : Partner with debt

Feeling down about recent news about my partner's debt.

We only recently moved in together. Prior to us moving in I had found that she was in debt. This came to light when I was abroad and she was booking a holiday to see and could not afford it. At this time, I loaned her the money (this was about 18months - 2 years ago). I did realise at the time, from past experience this was a loan that might not get paid back.

A question about : Do we sell our home?

We brought our house about 8 years ago and pretty much got into debt soon after as it needed a lot of work and we could not borrow enough on mortgage, what with cost of living for us at the time. We were given some bad advice and had also taken out an unsecured loan along with our mortgage to supplement the shortfall in our borrowing.
