A question about : My debt free journey

Way back when I joined MSE in August 2006 I was 6 months into my Trust Deed. I also had not told my parents about the magnitude of my debt (all Ј20,519 of it ) this excluded my car HP.

Although all looked fine on the outside I was still struggling to spend within my means. I was spending the money that was supposed to be put aside for things like my car (tax and maintainence), clothes, prescriptions etc.

A question about : 365 days adrift .... land ahoy!

MSE went a bit out the window in 2013 - I was really ill towards the end of 2012 and it's taken me a while to get back on my feet (getting there!)

I'm Puzz, and I've been hanging around these dfw threads and diaries for a long time now... I've tried many times to sort out the money mess I have made but have now hopefully settled on a path that will lead me to where I wish to be...

What I don't know is how I didnt' know about DMP's before, as I say I've been here for at least 5 years if not longer and only discovered them in my darkest place back in July.

A question about : tjretro Debt Diary

Thanks to all the advice on my other thread we now have some ideas on where to start and the whole thing looks a little less daunting than before. Tomorrow is a new beginning.

First thing we are going to do is get my girlfriend a new bank account and reclaim charges back from HSBC. They must have taken a small fortune from us , particularly over the last 2-3yrs. If/When we get any money back from them can go towards paying off the debts.

A question about : A year to make a difference

I've joined because I am looking at ways to top up my income and get so.e savings in place.
My credit isn't brilliant but I am working on that.
I currently have a doorstep loan with clc finance. They have called today to offer me more but I turned it down. I owe Ј70 and once that is gone that is it.
My credit report is rubbish due to problems a few year back so I am steering clear of any credit and concentrating on creating a healthy saving pot.

I'm not actually in debt as such but I need this diary to keep me on track with all of my plans and for all the wonderful support people here offer

I'm 27 and I have a 6yo son, I'm a single parent.

I work full time in finance and study CIMA on a side, life can get pretty hectic

A question about : Five years till I'm 50

I don't know what's more frightening about the title of this new diary, the fact that it'll take at least 60 months to get debt free or the fact that I'll be 50 in 60 months
