A question about : Starting My Debt Free Journey

Ok..

Here is where I am at right now. I'm a 3rd year undergraduate student, I finish this degree in June and would like to study for a masters come September for one year. There is a problem, I owe MONEY.

It cuold be worse and I'm trying not to get to scared over it but it has been getting gradually worse to the point that I received a debt collection letter today for an overdraft.

Sorry to steal your thunder Scottish Spendaholic, but Ive been thinking about how I dont have one of these mini-blogs and it might help my motivation, which is well on the wane at the mo. I Have Been Reading Lots Of The Threads Over The Past Couple Of Weeks And I Am Very Taken Back By The Levels Of Support People Offer.

I Guess My Main Reason For Starting This Thread Is I Want To Get Away From The Feeling Of Isolation My Situation Has Given Me. I Have Very Good Friends And A Loving Family However Maybe Through A Combination Of Pride And Shame I Have Found Myself Unable To Tell Them.

Seems like a good time to start a debt diary as the end is in sight.

So, some background, following a seemingly amicable separation 6 years ago I was left with a lots of debt, foolishly, in my name and the promise of payment and also some money towards our household items (I left with nothing) and half the cost of the divorce.
