Baking for charity, how much to charge for goodies?

A question about : Baking for charity, how much to charge for goodies?

I'm hoping to take part in Bake for a Smile fundraising for the charity Smile Train. The idea is that I will advertise (mostly to family and friends) my baking services for a donation to the charity. Just wondering what people think is a good amount to charge for batches of baked goods? I don't have anywhere I could run a stall to sell single portions, it would just be as-and-when someone would like something baked title=Smile

Help setting up charity page?

A question about : Help setting up charity page?

Hi this is the first time I am setting up a charity page, I have a team of 10 people who are all raising for the same charity, is it possible to set up one charity page online for all of us? If so which is the best site to use? Justgiving or virginmoneygiving? Also how will our chosen charity know that we have combined as a team, as we have all pleged to raise a certain amount individually? Thanks,

Becoming a charity trustee

A question about : Becoming a charity trustee

My OH has been asked by his brother to become a trustee of a small educational charity his brother is setting up with other members of his family - ( brothers wife, sislaw, brolaw etc). OH is reluctant as he knows nothing at all about the sector in which they will be working. His brother's wife, bro-law and sis in law are all foreign nationals (Bulgarian). He thinks they should get someone to be treasurer with knowledge of company accounts. What would be his personal financial liabilities as a trustee?

Most effective charities?

A question about : Most effective charities?

I was listening to the BBC world service early yesterday morning drowsing, and someone they were interviewing was talking about charity shortcomings, and they mentioned one of the more effective ones. I can't seem to remember which one. The search engine for the world service doesn't work well, can anyone find it or suggest who it was?
