A question about : Auto-enrolement transfer

My son has more than three months but less than two years auto enrolement pension with his previous employer. They have written to him saying he either has to transfer the fund to another pension or it will be refunded to him and the pension scheme. Most/all of the fund has come from the employer so he will be giving the money back to the employer unless he transfers. The amount is quite small, Ј1,700 which limits where it can be transferred to. He is currently not working.

I am mostly self-employed, aged 37, and don't have a current pension scheme, just an old and small NHS one. I've been putting money into ISAs instead, when I've been able to. I don't have a huge yearly income.

A question about : Procedures for auto enrolment

Just a quick question. Our employer has e mailed everyone regarding auto enrolment. They have stated that they will be deducting monies from this months salary. They have given 1 weeks notice.

None of us have seen any details regarding the pension scheme.

Are they allowed to deduct monies before giving us any infomation (Ie, is this against pension regulations) and can they only give a weeks notice to deduct the money.

A question about : Europcar Car Hire

Help Please

I just had my car Hire in Porto with Europcar it had 3rd party Liability Insurance and Airport Fees and so on. When i collected the car they said that there were no insurance and therefore i would have to take insurance at nearly 400 euros for the 21 days which i had paid nearly Ј600 for the car hire back in April 2014. When i told them that there was insurance on it they said that it was enough? Can they do that?
