A question about : Payplan

Hiya

I've recently found out that hubby has run up debts of Ј26,000 comprising a loan from Natwest and three credit cards.

From looking at all available options and looking extensively on-line we feel that an IVA may be our way forward.

Read so many horror stories about IVA's going wrong; but notice that Payplan are both on sticky at the top and on the CAB debt leaflet so thinking of consulting with them.

A question about : PPI After IVA

I have been directed to this forum from the PPI one, as apparently you guys should be able to help me out...

I received a letter from HFC stating that they have upheld my complaint.

Therefore have offered me a Full and Final Settlement figure of Ј2581.23.

The letter goes on to state that this sum of money will be used to offset my current debt.

The thing is I don't believe I have a debt with them?

The story is I entered an IVA and completed it in mid 2010. The final completion letter is dated 21/12/2012.

A question about : Debt Free Direct Over Calculate Income!!

Been in my IVA now for 3 years with Debt Free Direct.

This year however, there has been a problem.

I receive per calender month Ј888 in benefits.

This include DLA and cont based support group ESA.

However when DFD calculated my income they claim I physically receive Ј967!!

But when you look at the bank statement the monies go into, it add
up to Ј888!!

A question about : Debt Arrangement Scheme

Hey All

Am new on here - decided to share my story....

I have always been pretty poor with managing my money. Since university have taken every credit card/overdraft/storecard/loan i could get my hands on and over the years things have taken their toll. I did get a handle on it a few years back but it seemed never ending.

I earn a decent wage but never had anything left at the end of the month and was often incurring bank charges.

A question about : Applied for IVA. Sick with worry

Hi Everybody.
Over the last few weeks this forum has been a complete god send. Only now have I had the courage to post.
We are in the early stages of applying for an IVA. We sent our paperwork off to our IP last week and now it's all just the waiting game which is quite frankly making me feel physically sick.
I am, by nature quite possibly one of the planets worst worriers, doesn't matter what it is, I will worry about it.

Hi Thanks too everyone who told me to get advice on my last post, I did as you said and rang National Debt Line. also cccs,

have been told Debt Relief Order would be right for me, But i am very worried as there is not much advice or facts out there about it, so i am wondering if i should try and save the extra money(will take me a few more months) and do Bankruptcy, :confused:
