I'm a bit late to the party as we have been saving for a while but I like the idea of a savings diary!

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to write in this initial post!

A question about : lily saves in 2014

Hope I'm in the right place. Can see a few other diaries on here so hopefully I am and I'm sure someone will point me in the right direction if I'm not.

So, reading some of the diaries has prompted me to take a look at my financial situation and hopefully come up with some targets for focussing my budget and savings in the coming year. I'm debt free in a month so it seems like a good time to review my budget.

Be back when I've got some information together and thought about where to start.

Hi guys,

After reading a load of diaries on here I've decided to start my own, particularly after seeing people achieve there goals!

I've just finished uni and I live at home. My income is low, but so are my outgoings. I have some debts that I want to clear by the end of this year, and then start saving for my fitness instructor qualification, getting my driving licence and moving out.

My income is usually between Ј100/Ј120, I work three nights, but I am looking for full time work now.

Hey there guys - I've decided to keep a 1 month diary as a form of mini-blog and to track my progress over the next month.

We assign ourselves Ј250 each per month to spend on bits and bobs, going out, having fun etc. and I am always looking at ways to cut down my spend and save as much as I can (to add to my own savings pot which will then either be used for a small business and/or treats and/or eventually just be added to the mortgage saving fund).

A little about me, I am a British Born Chinese aged 27, turning 28 this year, live in North Wales and have currently saved up Ј16,050. I also have around Ј2,000 worth of red pocket which I am not touching no matter what. Even though I live with my parents at the moment, the amount I saved up is not a lot really.
