A question about : Bargain Bubbly Champagne & Sparkling Wine Deals Note Discussion

Why have you labelled the Lidl Comte de Brismand champagne as the top deal? Because it's the cheapest? Hardly the best recommendation. I'd much rather pay another Ј4 and get the Nicolas Feuillette at Morrison which is an outstandingly good champagne at a ridiculously low price.

A question about : How do people feed families on Ј40 a week?

I have seen online many people claiming to feed there family of 4 on Ј40-Ј50 per week. They claim it is a balanced diet.

I really want to save money, as I spend Ј70-Ј90 for a family of 3 per week (me, OH and 8 month old). This does include Ј8 a week on formula and nappies when needed (although in laws have been giving us a lot lately, so we rarely have to buy).

Last night I was in Asda buying the usual suspects and was horrified to notice a price increase of 13 pence on a pack of bakery granary rolls!!! These rolls used to be 52p AND on the 3 for Ј1 offer. So now if I buy 12 rolls I'll have to pay Ј1.95 instead of Ј1

A question about : Mary Berry Christmas Cake Mix

As title says, these are now half price in Tesco's.
Includes most things you need to make the cake (need to add egg, butter), bargain as it costs nearly that to get the marzipan & icing.
Also had the Christmas cupcake kits for Ј2.50 although not as many as these.

ETA - lots of people still buying these & reporting it's on until 2nd Jan - excellent!!
