I booked a trip to Alicante airport for myself and my girlfriend. We wanted to hire a rental car and ended up booking with a hire company called Goldcar.

They seemed quite cheap and already have all-inclusive insurance included so it sounded good.

I will make sure I never go near this company again.

Firstly, when we arrived we had to queue for just over an hour before getting to the front of the desk. Being peak-season we weren't too suprised and, although inconvenient, we could bare this.

The AA booking website seems to have a minor foible/glitch/gremlin that is throwing up cheaper flight prices.

If you're booking a multi city search, you'll end up on this page

fill in your flight details, select price 1 stop or less, and click on the American Airlines & American Eagle option, go to continue and see what price comes up. Make a note of the price.

i want to go to the south pacific (tahiti & cook islands) in august but i'm not paying the Ј1500 fares readily available. my strategy is going to be, to pre-book the local flights (i.e. Oz or NZ to tahiti/cook islands) for about Ј300, and then wait for the right flight price to down under which you can get for Ј600. anyone care to encourage or discourage this strategy? thanks, mark.

I'm thinking of locking in my Japanese Yen rate by changing money now given the strong exchange rate. Anyone used bestforeignexchange.com delivery service? They seem to have the best rates and branches in London but just a bit sceptical of transferring money via bank transfer.

A question about : Cyprus June

Hi

Im wondering if anyone can help me. Im trying to find cheap return flights to Paphos, Cyprus.

Looking at departing from Saturday 27th June and returning a week later. There is the option to stay longer than a week if this would make it cheaper.

I would like to fly from the North if possible, Leeds/Bradford or Manchester. If there are any real bargains to be had I wouldn't mind flying from elsewhere.
