A question about : Making a scrapbook

My oh will be 70 this year, money at the moment is tight for me so I thought I'd make a scrapbook for him. I've never attempted anything like it before and I've no idea where to start, I have until the middle of June to do it but I really feel I need to start now just so I get it right. Can anyone please shove me in the direction of a website where they give very very very simple instructions or even a magazine that can help. I don't have many pictures or stories about him from when he was young but I'm hoping his sisters might help out.

Hi all.

My sister has recently got into crafts in a big way, mostly paper crafts. She's on a limited budget though so thinking ahead I thought I would give a big stash of craft goodies for Christmas that I'll start collecting now, a few bits a week. Does anyone know of any companies that offer freebies or samples? Thanks.

A question about : scarecrow knitting pattern

Does anyone have a copy of a knitting pattern for a scarecrow that they would be willing to share?

I had a very old Jean Greenhowe pattern (from 80s I think)fro woman's weekly, think, that I hadnt used in years, so in a long needed clear out, out it went.

Of course, you know what's coming next -Today my dil asked me if I could knit a scarecrow for the nursery where she teaches!

A question about : Craft Stuff you can only get in the US

I have work colleagues who travel regularly back and forth to the US and they will bring back small items for me, I am thinking things that are readily available in the US but not available or only very expensively over here,

My first order has gone in for 2 rolls of freezer paper!

Does anyone have any ideas of anything else thats great thats only available in the US.

Of course now i'm on the spot I cant think of any, but at the time I have come across loads of things i want that i cant get!!

A question about : Lots of bargains on Create and Craft today

Switched the tv on this morning, and Create and Craft are having a fantastic clearance day.

If you don't want to watch tv all day, go on their website, click on tv schedule, then click on shop items, to see what's being cleared.

I've ordered my own Christmas present, some Mini 8 punches. Surprised that I got through on the phone straight away,to order.

(I am now going to switch off the tv and the internet before I start longing for everything.)

A question about : Matt glass paint

all the glass paint i come across dries to a glossy finish, does anyone know of glass paint the dries matt?

also, are there any brands of glass paint that aren't quite so watery when painting on?

A question about : felt to make gingerbread men

I need to make lots for school Christmas fair but can't find my usual coloured felt in local store this year so far.

I think it is a cinamon colour, and, if I remember, quite thin.

I have looked online but can't find anything that's not too thick.

Any ideas of sources, thanks.
