Do you use couriers or the Post Office?

A question about : Wall mural

Help and advice needed please! And apologies that I can't explain it very well - it's all imagined in my head and I can't even explain it to my OH!!!!

So, I am making a Noah's Ark 3D kind of wall mural thing. Fabric background, wooden ark, toy animals, foam tubing bits for rainbow (covered in fabric etc) etc etc

My question is, what would be best to mount it on so it can then be hung on the wall for LO to play with?

Afternoon craft enthusiasts!

I have recently bought 4 plain teacup and saucers (Ј5.19 in Argos at the moment, plus I used a Ј5 voucher so they cost me 19p!) and i'm looking to make candles for my friends for Christmas., planning on using Sharpie pens to personalise them on the outside

Wondering if anyone has made these before as i'm getting really put off with the different waxes, colours, smells, moulds, PRICES! Does anyone have any recommendations or any tips they would like to pass on?

A question about : I need help sourcing wood shapes, unfinished

I love this nativity garland but I am not prepared to pay the asking price. I would love to buy some unfinished wood shapes and paint/make my own garland. Does anyone know of where I can get the shapes from, or someone that would cut to order but still at a reasonable price. It could be MDF or wood I guess? Thanks folks.

A question about : making curtains

Hello all!

I'm thinking of making curtains for our sitting room as I can't find any ready made ones I like. However, I have never made curtains before (although I can sew clothes, so am confident with sewing and using a machine). The fabric I want to use has a repeating pattern (quite a large repeat so I know I'll have to think about matching up patterns). I think I just want to make a simple pleat (so just attaching a header tape?)

Does anyone have any hints or tips for a first-time curtain maker?
