Debt and Mental Health

A question about : Debt and Mental Health

Hi all, does anybody know about Debt and Mental Health Evaluation Forms and what effect they have on creditors? I'm on Citalapram, Zopiclone, Beta Blockers and had a 1hr telephone session with a counsellor who then tells me she's not qualified to make an assessment of my MH. I'm so glad I don't watch Eastenders or I definitely would've gone under.title=ROTFLtitle=ROTFL

Thursday 18th Sept

A question about : Thursday 18th Sept

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of big stuff that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym .

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Leave old debt outstanding?

A question about : Leave old debt outstanding?

I've just looked at my credit file on Noddle and notice the only negative thing on there is a debt of just over Ј5k to Arrow Global. I think this is for an old credit card debt, which I haven't paid for a number of years.

The Noddle report says 'account in default' from Oct 2010. I've had no correspondence from anyone relating to this debt since at least the start of 2012 (maybe longer than that, that's as far as my definite memory goes back).

Slow Progress

A question about : Slow Progress

Hi all title=Smile

I just wanted a little bit of a moan somewhere people would get what I mean.

I have a plan of paying off my debts, of saving money for maternity leave and a longer term plan (once debts gone) to overpay my mortgage. It wasn't always like this but a combination of terror and YNAB has really helped sort it all out.
