A question about : 3 Retention Deals

My contract with the Link on 3 comes to an end on 11 Feb. I served them the 30 days notice and have now been offered this tempting offer if I do not need a new handset

9 months at Ј15 + 3 months at Ј30 = Ј225 less Ј149.23 credit =Ј75.77 over the term averaging Ј6.32 a month.

This is for 500 xnet minutes and 100 texts per month

Has anybody been offered anything better from 3 ?

A question about : Vodafone complaints

Over the last 6 months had some serious problems with Vodafone and each time it's been like we don't care as you can't do much about it and we can't be bothered (!).

Had enough now and time for a lengthy letter of complaint detailing all my 'issues' but rather then send this to the generic customer address anyone got the details for the director?

I remember someone once posting details of a website that has all the addresses and e-mails of senior bods at companies but can't find it now.

Has anyone ever come across this message when turning on phone.
"Phone start-up failed.Contact the retailer"
The phone has been unlocked, but the error occurred when uninstalling a recent application.

Not really sure what to do, or maybe how much it will cost.
Would it be cheaper to get the same of ebay for about Ј75
Its a shame as its a good phone, even if a bit bulky

the thing to remember is that all networks are a business. What,if anything they offer you as a retention deal will depend on how much revenue they have made from you during your previous contract term, against how much the last phone you had was worth. eg:

You had a Samsung E900 worth Ј200 sim free
Your contract was Ј25 a month over 12 months (no extra call charges)

Total revenue = Ј 300

Phone cost = Ј200

Total network profit = Ј100

Hi all
Upgraded from iPhone 4s to Samsung s5 a few days ago at carphone warehouse
Hate it but can't swap it stuck for 2 yrs now! Anyway question is iPhone is locked 5o tmobile can I get it unlocked as it's out of contract so it won't lock up next time it updates? If so where is reputable on line and then if it's given to son is there a sim that dosnt have to be topped up every month?

For the record I am using a giff gaff pay as you go sim on an old old phone about 10 years old now so no iphone malarky.

Im kind of annoyed with myself because I never usually give out my number to anything and this one time I did I am paying for it.

The company is not a fly by night company either, they are the main club promotion company in my city.
