A question about : unhappy with 'Search' in forums

Here is the issue:

I'm looking for 'Mattress Protector' with the aim if obtaining a good one, but must must be wateproof,

So under Keyword(s) box type: Mattress Protector waterproof

The search returns posts, but some have 3882 replies, and others 4499, 9387 and one even has 14545 replies.

Must I search through possibly 14500+ entries to find the subject Mattress Protector waterproof?

Surly there must be an easier way? If there is not, there should be.

A question about : Energy Saving Expert

I got a call from a company called Energy Saving Experts. They wanted to review my gas and electricity to see if they could save money. By the sounds of it just typing my details into a comparison site and seeing if they could get commission for getting me to switch.

I think they were trying to trade on the MSE name particularly as you have an Energy Club thing.

I told them I never buy from cold calls (particularly as I'm on the TPS) and put the phone down. I probably should have stayed on and got more details.

A question about : Username change??

I've registered today but already want to change my username. Is that doable or do I need to delete my account and start again?

A question about : Difficulty starting a new thread!

I can only seem to start a new thread, on this site feedback sub board, it is the only time the 'new thread' button appears. On any other forum area or sub forum, there is no way to ask a new question. Is it because I am quite new? Or being thick?
I've spent about an hour trying to find out how including watching the intro youtube video. Very frustrated!

A question about : DIY as a money saver

Ok as this is the only forum area where I can ask a new question:

How come DIY is not a major money saving discussion area? As an active DIYer of anything I have saved thousands over the years, but it doesn't seem to be a topic covered on this site very much. How come? Shouldn't it be?

A question about : Double line spacing.........

Suddenly, whenever I type a response or start a thread, my para's have additional line spacing between them, why is it doing this?

I have to keep going back to remove them. It should be only a single blank line.

It's doing my head in, can't figure out what's wrong or where to change it.
If I just stick a para directly under the one above (like now), it doesn't put anything 'extra' in????? Can anyone figure out what I've done?

A question about : Mobile friendly forum request

There are some apps out there that allow for easy reading of a forum on a mobile phone. Would like to hear about plans for MSE to adopt a mobile and tablet based forum.
