Getting a Cosco Card

A question about : Getting a Cosco Card

Hi,

Does anyone know how I could get a Cosco card. I'm not really eligeable for any of the services (work in the IT profession).

I seen in some older posts that there where ways around it that allowed people to get their own memberships.

Any advice?

Cheers,
Kyle

Remember to complain (e.g. To aeriel)

A question about : Remember to complain (e.g. To aeriel)

MY wife recently complained to Aerial because on two seperate occasions a liquid tablet has split in the box.

There customer service dept. said send the box with split tablet and they will refund the box.

However I actually binned the box yesterday by mistake! and therefore we thought that was the end of it.

Today however we received an apology and voucher for Ј9 worth of Aeriel products.

A question about : BOGOF on Printers and Ј150 Trade In For Old Printers

Go onto the ebuyer site and search for: HP Officejet Pro X476dw Multifunction Printer- CN461A

Scroll down the page and you will see the buy one get one free offer.

However, HP are also offering Ј150 on old printers which makes the purchase of this printer cheaper. Info. on this is also available on the same page.

With all these things however, please make sure you read the T&Cs!

Cheapest method of payment (in USD)

A question about : Cheapest method of payment (in USD)

I'm looking to buy something online that costs about $350 (US). I'm well aware that the exchange and currency conversion rates will sting but trying to determine which payment method is best is making by head spin!

The retailer takes the usual array of credit and debit cards any PayPal. I've got a RBS Mastercard (CC), FD Visa Debit Card and a PayPal account, all of which are UK based in GBP.

Any advice would be welcome title=Smile

    Anyone used modern.co.uk for furniture?

A question about : Anyone used modern.co.uk for furniture?

Modern.co.uk seem to have decently priced sofas in the style we're looking for (compared with John Lewis etc) - BUT they don't have a showroom (so no testing for comfort which is quite important!)
Anyone used them? They have a 7-day return policy but obviously I am quite dubious as I haven't heard of them before.

With a name like 'Modern' they are hard to search for reviews... Any experience with them?

    Thanks in advance

Was my tip any good at this restaurant?

A question about : Was my tip any good at this restaurant?

This is bugging me a bit. I recently took a girl out to a well known chain restaurant and actually tipped for the first time ever.

The bill was about Ј40 and I tipped Ј1 when I used my card.
I just kinda went with the moment but I'm now not sure if Ј1 is more of a slap in the face than nothing at all?

The food wasn't great, not hot enough and meat a bit stiff. But the waiter was friendly though and refilled drinks quickly etc.

Great ‘What to Buy at Costco & Makro’ Hunt

A question about : Great ‘What to Buy at Costco & Makro’ Hunt

The premise of warehouse clubs, such as Costco and Makro, is simple: they draw you in by stacking high 'n' selling cheap, yet make profits by flogging own brand products and charging membership fees (Costco). Therefore I want to tap MoneySavers' knowledge to find the best value deals.

What should and shouldn't you grab? Is it worth paying to be a member? You can only join Makro if you run a business, but are there any ways to (legally) get through the door if you don't?
