Can someone suggest a will writing service or a web site that I can d/load a will pro forma from?

  Mine (amicus) has a free service for members

  but does anyone know how the 'holding' of the will works? do I have to pay someone to look after it or can I tuck it under my mattress ???
• MoreThan (Royal and sun Alliance) has a desktop legal document webbsite for customers. This includes will writting. It is operated by a third party company. It is free. It also provides other added value services.
• If you are on benefits you may be able to get a will written by a solicitor for free.
• Some charities offer a free will writting service, however, I guess they would like you to include their charity in your will.
• I was told Cancer research do them for free,but I am still awaitng a reply from the 12 July.

• It is important that if your estate is likely to be subject to inheritance tax that you take proper advise. It is unlikely that a will form will provide this. THe Inland revenue will take 40% of an estate which qualilfies for IHT. Some steps taken now can reduce the liability later.

  I have today received the letter from Cancer Research
  they have a deal with Solicitors in your area and they
  pay them,you are not obliged to pay them anything
• I have heard that some solicitors are writing wills free during the month of November and that the only charge is a small donation to charity. I don't know if it is to any particular charity.
• One persons "small" is another person's arm and a leg.
  I have an idea that the suggested donation to charity is Ј65.
  No wonder I am Pale.

• Normal (?) price in my neck of the woods is, Ј140 plus Gordons holiday money (VAT) for a single will.
