A question about : Working in the USA

Hi,

Can anyone point me in the right direction for information on working in the US?

Situation is that OH's company may well be looking for him to relocate at some point next year. They would sort out the visa, but it would be useful for me to get an idea of what jobs would be open to me. From what I've seen it looks like a lot of jobs are only open to US citizens.

I am a graduate, but all my experience is in the financial world and I really don't want to go back to that. I'm think more about education, healthcare, law enforcement/criminal justice type jobs. I'm also willing to go back to uni to retrain but don't know if I'd need a different sort of visa to be able to do that over there.

Can anyone help?
