A question about : Who to contact RE Shared ownership Rent
Hi
I am in shared ownership property and feel the rent is too high, who can I concat about this.
Our rent is Ј20 more expensive than the other shared ownership properies at the other end of town(it is with a different housing assocation)
Any help/advice much appericated.

- There is nothing to stop different HA's charging different amounts. The only protection you really have is what is written in your lease - there may be a clause stating how much the rent can be increased by each year. If the HA are within this limit, there is nothing you can do - after all, you did agree to the rent when you purchased the property.
- Thank you. We have been here for the last 6 years and we have just had the house valued and even the estate agent was suprised how much our rent has gone up by. I have recently been told that the HA can only charge up to 3% of the value of the property, just posted on here to see if anyone knew who to contact re shared ownership rights, fair rents, etc.
