A question about : Welcome to the Greenfingered MoneySaving Board!

There's been massive demand and many outcries for a Gardening Board. So here it is. I hope this will be a great place for MoneySavers to swap tips, share ideas and experiences on gardening the MoneySaving way.

Best answers:

  • Many thanks to Martin and the team.
  • Can I plant the first seed?
I don't think you can beat homegrown veg. I usually grow runnerbeans, tomatos, spring onions, lettace, radish and various herbs.
I also have cherrytrees, apple trees and pear trees.
    plus a compost bin.
I'm looking forward to learning alot more from others.
  • First request for this Board!
I've a half memory of someone mentioning a webiste which links people up to swap half packets of seed - is this a dream I had or does someone know of it?

  • Yay! We got one! How wonderful - I'm moving from a 25' no sun at all garden to a 60' sunny garden with additional 60' sunny allotment at the end. At the moment the allotment is grass, weeds and wildlife, and the garden is scraggly lawn & dull borders. Now I know it won't cost me a fortune to sort out - thank you! thank you!
