Just wanted to pass on my feedback about the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet in Leicestershire. I am getting married in October so don't have much time to find my perfect dress, plus we're on a bit of a budget so I thought I'd try the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet even thought it was a 200 mile round trip.

weddingdress-factoryoutlet.co.uk/ They have 700 dresses in stock in various sizes all between Ј150 and Ј400 max.

Basically the majority come direct from designers and manufacturers who have excess stock due to discontinuation, cancelled orders, unused samples and one-off designs.

I found a perfect dress albeit at the top of their price range but it is beautful. Worth a try ladies!

The staff were very helpful and not overly pushy like you might get in a normal bridal shop.

• Just wanted to say that I went with my daughter to the Bridal FActory Outlet at Burbage last week and would certainly recommend it to anyone.
  There are lots of dresses in all sizes and the staff are brilliant, they spent ages helping my daughter into various dresses until she found the perfect one (Anna Serrano).
  Have been lurking about on the forum for weeks getting lots of great ideas from everyone.
  We went on a Wednesday when you need to make an appointment but they are open on Saturdays and Sundays.

• They seem to have a really good reputation for being friendly, definitely. My friend bought her dress from there and she said it was totally different from the snobby places she'd been before.
  And FYI: They're now doing a competition where you can win a wedding dress every month on their facebook page.

• I also just wanted to say this place is excellent - I haven't been shopping for my dress yet, but my sister got married last year and we went there and they had so many dresses! It's also got a lovely atmosphere, none of that pretentious nonsense like in a lot of places but it still feels really special. My sister didn't end up getting a dress from there, but that's only because she was looking for something quite specific, however it was a lovely experience, and there's plenty of places for your entourage of bridesmaids/mums etc etc to hang around!
  The only comment I have is that I wished the big mirror was a bit further away from the changing rooms! Other than that the prices and the selection and the atmosphere deserve a 10 out of 10

• I have been looking for a wedding dress for ages.... i want something traditional yet different.
  Have been made to feel very uncomfortable in most bridal shops i have visited but not at the Outlet Factory.... they where amazing. I have found the most amazing dress and could not be happier and half the cost of my budget.... so more money for other things
• If you go on Saturday it gets very busy. You can only put 4 dresses on the rail at a time and when yours are at the front you get the next changing room. So worth having a friend to put your second 4 on the rail whilst you are waiting. And get there as early as possible!

• Reporting back from a visit to the Wedding Factory Outlet today:
  Reasonably big range, even in my size (22) they had at least 10 different dresses. We picked 4 (swapped one after my friend found a pin in the lining of one!), hung 'em on a rail and waited till there was a room free - only about 15 mins, picked another 4, and so on. One of the girls came into the room with me to put the dresses on, but they turn their backs while you're getting undressed so you get the opportunity to straighten pants or push errant bosoms back! They're very helpful and discreet.
  The one dodgy thing (for which I shall be providing feedback to the company!) was that when I asked one of the assistants if they had any mermaid styles in my size, I was told "we don't tend to stock that style in larger sizes, the thing is that if you're larger, when you try the dress on it doesn't look at all like the image you had in your head, so we don't offer them"..!
  A simple "no we don't stock them" would suffice! I may be a size 22 but I'm also nearly 6ft tall and hourglass shape, the mermaid dresses suit me as well as the A-line! Thankfully I'm not easily offended, it gave me and my friend a bit of a giggle as we continued our search in the "you're fat but you can still wear these" section.
  In the end I found something that I really really liked, they didn't have quite the right size in stock but she gave me details of who to contact to find out when they will. Overall it's well organised, most of the dresses are just under Ј400. Just double check what you're buying for stains as obviously some of them are ex-display (and for pins!). Definitely worth my 2 hour round journey though.
