Some notes from the bookers out there:
If you are looking for a straightforward 'price-beat' for a package holiday, we need to know the Tour Operator (ie Thomson, Thomas Cook, etc) & if all extras such as flight meals, transfers, credit card charges, booking fees, airport security are included. DO REMEMBER IN MOST CASES WE CAN 'TAILOR-MAKE' an equivalent deal (or possibly SAME Accommodation) in a similar area often at a cheaper price too!
If any MSE 'posters' require quotes/help from me can you please include the following information to allow us to find you the best 'moneysaving' deal!
PLEASE ASK FOR PRICES FROM THE REGULAR 'BODS' ON HERE ONLY IF YOU ARE IN A POSITION TO BOOK STRAIGHT AWAY OR WITHIN A DAY-THOSE OF US THAT SEARCH FOR DEALS KNOW THAT IF YOU ASK US FOR A PRICE IT WILL HAVE CHANGED 3/4 DAYS LATER-so help us to help you avoid dissapointment & ask for help WHEN YOU KNOW YOU CAN BOOK quickly-otherwise any quotes you want to take my come as a dissapointment if you go to book them 3/4 days later & they're more expensive!
PLEASE DO NOT POST FOR A QUOTE ULNESS YOU ARE IN A POSITION TO BOOK BY, THE LATEST, THE FOLLOWING DAY AS ANY QUOTES/SEARCHES GIVEN WILL BE OUT OF DATE WITHIN 48 HOURS.
1-All airports you can fly from
2-Duration
3-1st & last dates to leave the UK
4-Are night flights acceptable ? (Big point as night flights usually cheaper!)
5-Party size & kids ages
6-Board basis you require (ie self-catering, all-inclusive, h/b, bb...etc)
7-Type of resort, ie quiet, lively
8-Any resorts/countries you WOULD NOT go to
9-Any other neccesary factors, ie must have kids
10-Prices required by what day/time?
club, pool, be within 'x' metres from sea...etc
11-Max. budget FOR THE WHOLE PARTY!!! Now I know there is a preconceived idea that if you say maximum £1000 we'll quote £999-99-NOT the case! It just saves us all time, for example if you were looking at peak Season or Whitsun for £125 pp it's a non-starter. Just 'as cheap as posssible' is not a help I'm afraid.
My area of expertise is the main Med resorts, Canaries, Turkey, Egypt, Florida deals including accom (we get good villa rates), Dominican republic, Cuba + mexico. Other posters on here have much better knowledge on other destinations-so if I don't answer in person it just means its either not my area or one of the other 'bods' on here is better qualified.
Do remember as fellow moneysavers no extras to pay-such as card charges, booking fees, Airport security, transfers (in 90% of cases we include a PRIVATE TAXI-nice start to the holiday!). If flight meals are not available we'll let you know!

HOLIDAYS WILL GO/CHANGE PRICE/FLIGHTS WILL GO UP/SELL! THERE HAVE BEEN MANY CASES RECENTLY FOR BOTH MYSELF & OTHER 'HELPERS' WHERE PEOPLE HAVE PHONED BACK/'HUMMED & HA'D' THE NEXT DAY & THE HOLIDAY IS GONE. I have booked a package deal to majorca with four other friends. Somthing has cropped up and I may want to fly out later on a seperate flight.
Do you happen to know if there will be no problem returning on the package flight having not turned up for the outbound flight? They don't cancel it do they because you didn't turn up for the outbound flight? -

You MUST let the Tour Operator konw that you are not using the outbound-or your inbound seat will be sold as you were a 'no-show' for the outbound!
Get your travel Agent/Tour Op to confirm that they've informed the airline-if it was me I'd ALSO check with the airline myself & tell them.best to be double sure! As long as they're told it's no problem.

It's a cracking site, and I read with interest all those lucky people getting sound advice from you, and your valuable helpers.
I have in mind a surprise holiday to Dublin or Prague
for the 2 of us. Flying on the 5th July and returning on the 9th or 1oth. Have scanned Jet2.com and they come up with Ј138 return to Prague, and your travelchecker shows Ryanair Ј57 + taxes return Dublin.
So far so good !
What I need your good advice on is accomodation B/B
if possible in either country and best car hire to use.
Or have you a deal that looks even better.
