Hi we are booking our flights from London to New York and wanted to know which is best BA world traveler plus or Virgin premium economy ? and also if you had the choice of flying into JFK or EWR which would you choose? we have never been to New York so all this is new to us and I just wanted to ask your advice as want to book as soon as the flights become available to get the best prices title=Wink cheers

Best answers:

  • Price up business class from Dublin.
Might be worth a positioning flight.

  • IMHO the service on Virgin is leagues ahead of what is offered on BA.
    BA
    Virgin
  • I've flown business class with both and honestly? Pretty much the same, in my experience.
  • Hi I have check the Dublin flights and they return on Iberia?
  • looking to fly premium economy really
  • Have flown the route on both a couple of times and found the service and entertainment on the Virgin flights better, though they also, both times I flew with them, overbooked the flight.
  • BA for the more generous hand baggage allowance (although that's economy/WT, I don't know about PE/WT+)
  • WT+ to Newark would be my choice. brand new shiny planes operating that route and on the whole I prefer the service BA's crews offer.
  • looks good going out pWT+ from Dublin and flying back business class Iberia that fare is Ј100 cheaper than the lgw WT+ both ways just need to find a cheap way of getting 4 of us to dublin now thanks everyone
  • no I don't know what avios is, i am a BA card member is that avios sorry to be thick lol
  • Fly both regular, ( once a month) to NYC, Virgin just edged it for me more so with PE, see no point in doing NYC in business as day time flight going west and short flying time coming back. On both I eat breakfast and take a sandwich to eat in flight as find both airlines food offerings pretty lame.
Oh and fly into Newark and out of JFK.
