Hi everyone,

Yes, I work for VIP.com, but what better place to let you know about our new phone service at www.vip.com.

It's VoIP based, in that you can make calls from your PC, but you can also dial an 0207 number to place your international calls. (0800s are also available).

International calls are mostly 1p per minute to landlines (mobiles vary). All the rates are on the site. Plus, there's Ј1 free calls if you sign up and want to try the service. Which equates to 100 minutes to a LOT of destinations.

So if you want to try it for free, then go right ahead and sign up for an account, download the dialer software and away you go!

• Not as cheap as 18866!
  1. Calls on VIP.COM are via 0207 number (chargeable). Calls on 18866 are via freefone number!
  2. Calls on VIP.COM via freefone access cost an extra 3p/min. With 18866 there is no extra charge!
  3. Calls on VIP.COM are per minute billing. Calls on 18866 are per second billing!
  4. VIP.Com is a pre-pay service. 18866 is a postpay service!
  5. VIP charges 1p/min for inland calls (plus cost of 0207 number or 3p/min to use 0800 access number). 18866 charges 0.5p/min with no extra cost to use 0800 access number!
  Admittedly, 18866 have a 1p connection for each call and VIP.COM do not. But that is 1p per call not 3p/min to use VIP.COM freephone access!
  RESULT: NO CONTEST!!!
