A question about : Unofficial MSE Meet in Edinburgh 1/9/05

Unofficial MSE meet in Edinburgh to be held on Thursday evening 1 September at the Mount Royal Hotel, Princes Street, Edinburgh.

Everybody is welcome, please note your interest in the poll but if you change your mind later, thats okay too title=Wink

The previous meet was held on a Sunday afternoon but as this is fitting in with Toozie visiting Edinburgh it will be early evening, from 6.30 onwards, so just come along and have a drink or coffee and chat.

Don't be nervous, I personally will do all I can to make everyone welcome young and old, bring your family and friends if you like and if you want to just have a look in for a short time thats fine too.

As this is during the Festival and Edinburgh will be busy, anyone coming from the West or Fife, the new park and ride on the A71 should be open by then and you would be able to park and catch a bus right to the door.

Edited to add: Welcome to the Scotland Board and this particular thread to any new users coming in from the Email Tips.

Any new users and indeed anyone who hasn't signed up for the forums yet will be made very welcome at the Edinburgh meet and I look forward to lots of input on the Scotland Board. /

  • Well Mr and Mrs Opinion will be coming across (all being well) ... flights and hotel booked .. just got to convince the boos to give me the time off work (easy)
    Ivan
  • As I'm relatively new to all this, could you give me an idea of what's discussed?
  • Hi maggiesoup.
Anything and everything really. We talk moneysaving (of course, lol).....Edinburghlass convinced me of the merits of swapping my phone provider at the last meet and I'm pleased to say she saved me a fortune.
We talk a little about ourselves and just generally get to know each other. It's nice to meet people and put faces to names. Some people you meet become friends afterwards and some don't, but it's all very friendly on the day.
It's a nice change from your usual circle of family and friends.
It's funny when you meet people, they seem different to the way you imagined them. I'm particularly bad for imagining ages and hair colour, lol. I've just found out what kind of age Ivan is for example, and let me tell you that's not how I imagined him. (Sorry Ivan ..... ). I dread to think how people imagine me.
Come along, there wil be several people coming by themselves who haven't met up before so you wont be alone.
  • Picking up bar tabs? Help ma boab! Are you trying to put me off.....In true Morningside tradition I'll be espousing "you'll have had your tea"
