A question about : UKPC I think I've messed up my appeal.
I received a windscreen parking notice for failing to display a valid ticket. I did have one but it had blown over on the dash and I didn't realise until my return.At this stage I had never read the threads on this site for parking appeals and I panicked and immediately put in an appeal on their website.
I appear to have done everything that the posts say not to. I waffled about the ticket blowing over and as its a free for 2 hrs why wouldn't I display a ticket. I also sent a photo of the ticket as evidence.
So now I've had a reply to say that they have correctly issued the ticket,but in light of the contents of my appeal, they will now accept a Ј15 payment instead of the Ј60 early payment. However if I wish to appeal to Popla ( I have a ref no.) and I lose,the payment will go back to the full amount of Ј90.
This is a dilemma as I cant see me winning when i've admitted the ticket wasnt displayed correctly. I have 28 days to appeal to Popla or 35 days to pay the Ј15.
Any suggestions please

- Do you know whos car park you were parked in?
it most certainly wasnt a UKPC car park, as they are almost certainly just agents ( or parasites) acting for the land owner ( or leeching money and good will from customers)
Read the newbies sticky thread, and nobble them with a POPLA challenge - also complain to the car park owner about the antics of his/her agent.
You paid for a ticket , there was no loss.
Whilst you may only have 28 days to challenge this with popla, you have an entire lifetime not to pay the Ј15 they are demanding, or any other sum that they may dream up.
Read the newbies section and beat them at POPLA - I agree, put an appeal into popla *for free, online , on their website) with not a gpeol , no contract and poor signage as your main appeal points
cost them money at popla ( Ј30 ) for their greed in trying to scam Ј15 from you with smoke and mirrors
