Twitter comps, anyone ever win?

A question about : Twitter comps, anyone ever win?

Hi,
Apologies if this has been asked before, but for those that enter twitter competitions..have you ever won them. I seem to have entered thousands and never won. Perhaps just the luck of the draw. I wondered if perhaps the people drawing the comps see a load of competition re-tweets in peoples post histories and pick again.
I just wondered if i've had a lot of bad luck or if everyone is in the same boat.

• You stand a better chance if you have lots of followers and tweet more than once but various people have tested it out and concluded there is no fair way to conduct a twitter competition.
• I joined about 5-6 weeks ago and have won 3 times so far. tickets to a party in London from Glamour Mag uk a couple of weeks back and twice last week - Ј25 love2shop vouchers from Glorious Food page and Ј200 b&q vouchers from Axa home insurance page. keep at it x
• I've entered thousands too but never won. Had lots of entries retweeted by the competition owner, especially when I've left a comment but this hasn't helped me either.
  I would give up on it but they only take a second to enter so keep plodding on just in case!

• I think i win more on twitter than anywhere, i rarely win on facebook, maybe i enter more on twitter though! i won a kenwood K-mix stand mixer in december, i've won flights, hampers, lots of books, tools and perfume and i was notified of my australia win on twitter, although that was on facebook too,
• Twitter is a bit of a mixed bag for me. I'll have one or two wins in quick succession, then perhaps nothing for a few months.
  Some peeps seem to do very well on them, and others never seem to do anything on them.
  It's just one of those things I think. I just keep plugging away at them hoping I'll be lucky next time.

• ive won 4 times on twitter and only once on fb. I find twitter easier to enter and can get more done. It really is the luck of the draw. just keep plugging at it and something will come along when you least expect it. I had 2 of mine couple weeks ago when i was having a bad day. Soon cheered me up cos my Cath kidston mugs are taking pride of place in my kitchen

• I used to do really well on twitter but wins seem to have died off in the last few months, not sure if there's more people entering or just bad luck! But it's probably my favourite way of entering as I'm on twitter a lot anyways

• I just won a phone on Twitter and I've had a few other bits in past 2 months. I usually enter at last minute and I'm wondering if they are just lazy and grab a few winners from the last 100 Tweets? Or I was lucky. Not had much luck on fb tho x
• About a year or so ago I won Ј250 Marks & Spencer vouchers, and a couple of weeks ago won Ј50 restaurant vouchers, little else though.

• Ironically, the day after I posted this topic and said I had never won..I win! Just got a notification saying i'd won a Ј20 voucher. Where from and where it's for I don't know. But it's a win all the same!

• I have taken up comping as a hobby since around late november last year and i have entered hundreds of twitter competitions and never won anything until the past couple of weeks when i won lloyd grossman sauces and a book.
  All i do is follow and retweet and try to also leave a comment saying thanks for the competition or what i think of their products etc. Takes a little longer but its kind of paid off in the end lol.
  I have a twitter account just for comping so the only people that follow me are the ones who retweet comps and from the comps i have entered etc
