A question about : Thailand March 2016

Hi all,

We're looking to go to Thailand in the Easter holidays (2016). Ideally we would like to fly out on 25th / 26th March and return 8th / 9th April.

I've been told that most airlines release 11 months prior to departure, can you confirm if this is standard across all companies or do they vary? Can you also confirm that in our case we'd have to book 11 months prior to the 8th / 9th as the return flights won't be available until then?

Thanks.

Best answers:

  • 330 days I think it is.
I'm travelling 19 December 2015 - 9 Jan 2016, I need to give it one more week before I can start pricing up my flights.
I'm going during Easter this year to Thailand and I've found travelling via Dubai to be cheaper for us (3 travellers). We live in Birmingham, departing from Manchester arriving back into Birmingham.
  • Thanks MasterPoo.
We are hopefully going to fly from Newcastle so Dubai would be a good option for us. There is sometimes a premium on Dubai from Newcastle though so will be looking via Heathrow, Paris and Amsterdam. Can also drive to Manchester / Glasgow / Edinburgh if needs be.

when you are ready to book, and are over 330 look at that link and email to your TA.
No harm looking at this years dates to give you an idea of next years flights?
    Have a FAB trip!
  • MasterPoo should be able to assist with vfm places to stay in Bangkok too
  • What is VFM?
  • Value for money maybe?
I've stayed at 3 hotels in Bangkok - Chatrium, Anantara and Pullman King Power. All were good.
  • When we went to Japan last Easter hols we booked during the September sales the previous year and got a good price. We did fly direct though (from Heathrow). Maybe look for a connection at either Amsterdam, Paris or Madrid if you are flying from Newcastle?
