A question about : Tesco

Exchanged Ј10 of my Tesco clubcard points for a Ј20 Cafe Rouge voucher to take DS (aged 3 at the time) out for an early dinner.

The T&Cs state it has to be used after 5pm and you need to buy 2 main courses. On their menu is a list of kids main courses.

When I went to use it, I was then told that you had to buy two ADULT main courses. Not impressed. Took DS somewhere else, but the voucher then expired without any opportunity to use it.

(If DH and i eat out, it is Saturday night, so voucher not valid either).

Anyway, emailed Tesco, and they exchanged it for a new Pizza Express voucher instead, which have very few daft restrictions.

YAY!! Well done and thank you Tesco!!

(And meh to Caf! Rouge for their silly T&Cs)

• yeah some dont include kids meals, Prezzo can be used on kids meals
• Kids meals are never classed as main courses.

  Tesco doing a flash sale tomorrow on Pizza Express.
• Why didn't you buy him an adult main course and let him leave most of it?
• Do you not get four times the value for cafe rouge? So you should have got Ј40 for Ј10.
• I had an awful situation in Caf. Roug., many years ago I went with family, including an elderly relative of DH's, as a family, and it was 6 of us, tried to use 3 vouchers, one for each pair of us, but was told that I could only use one per table and the manager made quite a fuss, embarrassing everybody present. Very upsetting situation. I complained here on the forum and one of their company representatives contacted me, apologised and gave me Ј25 vouchers for future use. I was very impressed with their Head Office attitude, sometimes it is the individual restaurants that don't understand the rules!
• Really? I thought Cafe Rouge and the other chain restaurants have always been 4x the amount, it was for me last month!
• I got some lovely Denby last week - great value for Ј18 of Tesco vouchers. Arrived promptly and excellently packaged.
