A question about : Tax rebate?
Made redundant last september and had a redundancy package - now claiming jsa - can I get / am I entitled to any tax rebate?
Thanks
Best answers:
- Would depend on your tax code and how much tax you have paid. if your tax code is something like 643L (or similar) then you would be entitled to earn 6,430 without paying tax. If you have paid tax over and above your tax code, then yes, you should likely get a rebate. Give them a call - my OH did his over the phone when he was on emergency tax code and had only worked September to April in the financial year.
- MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin's asked me to post this in these circumstances: I've asked Board Guides to move threads if they'll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com. - The DWP should have made your refund at the end of the tax year. If they have not done so, you need to send your P60u to your tax office asking them to deal with the refund.
