I am entitled to Ј10,600 personal allowance. My income is Ј13650 pa. I assume my taxable is 20% of Ј3050 Ј610 pa. Is that correct, and my code would be 1060??

• thanks for response, now for the real question. The income is made up of state pension and private pension. I know that HRMC deduct the state pension (Ј7000 ish) from the personal allowance of Ј10600, this give a code of 360 (don't have exact figures with me) but using this code in a tax calculator shows that tax is far higher something like Ј1560 pa. Why is this it certainly does not seem fair. thanks again
