• Just did it for 1993, when I bought my first house (along with what I was earning then) and it brought up a terrace house in Leeds, which I would reckon was only a few streets away from the terrace house in Leeds I actually bought lol
• According to the quiz, no matter what year I bought in all I would ever be able to afford is a selection of grim looking houses in Southampton, on a cloudy day.
• Yes, we have lots of these in Leeds! And I've owned one since 2004-cost Ј130,000 and is worth about the same now !! At least I've not LOST money on property, like a lot of people in this area!
• I'm a bit confused by this. It says I could have bought a fab detached house in 1972. However, even though my husband and I were on good secure salaries at that time what we were able to buy in 1972 was an end terrace in need of modernisation miles away from where we wanted to live i.e. we had to move to cheaper area.
  So don't believe all you read!
• It's even worse than you think- the house I bought in 1975 for Ј10k is allegedly worth Ј900k now. But blinged up so as to be unrecognisable from the slummy wreck with a dodgy roof, no CH and damp which I bought in pre-trendoid Brixton, S London...
