  • Know what you mean. Last time I was there is was horrendous.
  • Totally agree
I love going into town, rather than the out of town shopping centres - Fforestfach, Morfa etc.
But i don't other now unless i really need to go in.
Hope it's in a better state come xmas, i love going into town at xmas. Don't know where Father Christmas is going to switch on the lights, doesn't he usually do them on the Kingsway!!!
  • I live in the centre of town, but these days we take the car to morfa rather than go into the centre! i work by the quadrent, and hate hate hate walking into work cause although theyve cocked it all up for the drivers, it aint much better for us pedestrians either! All this for a sodding bendy bus that no one really cares about? gimme a break...
  • ive got to admit, ive never really liked swansea city centre
it just feels like there's no organistaion or structure to the city, which being a cardiff girl really bugs me, as i am used to having every laid out in a nice, logical fashion.
i really like the morfa retail park and fforset ffach though - and i just recently discovered talbot green too, which is also nice
  • I work in Orchard Street, our office is slap bang on top of the roadworks!!!! For some reason Mondays always seem to be worse than any other day for driving in - just the bit from Dyfatty to the NCP in Orchard Street - I don't have to negotiate the Kingsway, thankfully. They're using some kind of roller on the street outside our office though and the whole office is shaking, desks and all!!!! And it is really difficult to get from the Kingsway to Orchard Street on foot, although someone (I guess one of the workmen) has covered one of the "pedestrians" signs with one that says "this is the way to Amarillo" which always makes me laugh!!
    Jxxx
  • We much prefer Cardiff to Swansea although we live closer to Swansea.
(Swansea is not even signposted on the M4 signposts.)
  • Back on topic, find Swansea really weird, nice shopping centre and really grotty looking main street.
Best thing about Swansea is the Cross Keys just off Wind Street, do a fab sunday carvery just pile it on the plate, fabulous.
  • Really on topic.
Swansea is a dump full stop.
The countryside around it is amazing -- but Swansea itself is Chav Central.
    Sorry just my opinion.
  • yup lol
its called Glamorgan Vale retail park im sure
its not far from the talbot green one
