A question about : Student Grants
Hi all
Just looking through options to finance university and I'm a little confused
I've read a story on the main MSE website
but it seems to say that I cannot get a grant if I live with my parents.
Is this true or am I just reading it wrong?
Thanks

- I am in no way knowledgeable on this, but I think it might depend on what course you are doing to what you will be eligible for.
I'm thinking about doing an online distance learning BA Hons in Graphic Design - Part-time. I live with my parents and I'm on a low income and have been told I'll be able to get a tuition fee loan from student finance, but not a maintenance loan (to pay for living, travel, supplies) - Thanks for that.
I'm long term ill and unable to learn to drive so will be reliant on public transport. Train alone would be over Ј1000 a year, without the bus from the train station to the university - Rather than reply on partial information why not contact the relevant finance organisation directly to discuss your situation?

Student Awards Agency for Scotland
Student Finance Wales
Student Finance NI - Thank you
