A question about : Somewhere Free To Park Car South Belfast / Lisburn Direction for 4 days

2 couples will be travelling to Dublin airport for a long weekend trip. We both live quite a bit apart but would both need to travel through Belfast to go to Dublin. There is no sense in us both driving all the way to Dublin in separate cars so I was looking for somewhere to leave my car outside Belfast or even Lisburn that would be reasonably safe for 4 days.

I was even thinking of the Sprucefield Park & Ride as it is never full. Anybody any ideas?

Best answers:

  • Not sure how safe Sprucefield park and ride would be at night. Probably better near McDonalds, as it's open 24/7.
  • I would advise against that - if they notice you're parked there for a long period, they'll clamp you.
  • A bit further to go but I have left mine at the motorway junction at Moira for a few days in the past without any hassle (not over a weekend though)
  • Couple of cars have been stolen from moira roundabout recently.
  • Maybe not the Moira Roundabout but what about in Moira itself??
  • Use the car park at IKEA and it will cost you 24 pounds but you know its in a supervised spot so much less risk...
  • thats BOALS Parking

  • Moira roundabout is not that near Belfast- Dublin route or am i missing something?
    .
  • Park a car in the public car park, or on the street, in Hillsborough, just off the A1 after Sprucefield?
  • Check out here https://www.justpark.com/
  • Thanks everyone for the suggestions - the website "just park" is interesting and I like the idea of parking it in someones driveway from a security point of view - albeit that you pay a few ЈЈ for it
