A question about : Sky hd box Ј29

Hello

I have a SKY + BOX, in lviing room and a basic package of about Ј18 or Ј19 a monht I think, and a sky box upstairs broadcasting a few channels (freee sat or something I think)

I also had multi room until a month back which wasa about a tenner - I got rid of this as we found it a bit extravegenbt and often same channel on in two rooms!

I have seen an advert in comet / currys saying SKY HD box available for Ј29 for existing customers....

can anyone confirm

1 - Am I signing up to a new contract?
2 - How much per month is the hd package?
3 - Minumum months for HD package?

Can I get rid of HD and keep the box as sky plus box, either keeping multi room or getting rid of it and still having a cheap sky + box which means it can be taped.....

• Just looked at this on the curry's website as I want a HD box and 29.00 sounded good. You only get it at this price though if you buy a HD ready TV too. As I already have one I'd rather pay the 49.00. HTH
• I think, but not sure that you have to subscribe to the Ј10 a month for HD channels for a minimum of 12 months to take up this offer. You can cancel the HD then, thats what we did a few years ago when the SKY box was Ј300 plus 10 a month.
• OK, just had a look at the website and it's very similar to the offer that Tesco are doing at the moment except they are giving the HD box for free if you buy a TV.
  You have to either join or stay with Sky (i.e. existing customers have to sign up for another 12 months)
  You have to subscribe to the HD mix which is about tenner a month.
  Existing customers also have to take out a multiroom subscription which is another tenner.

  Its a bit of a minefield this! Once I turned the multiroom off about a month back the sky box upstairs which used to have access to the entire package, I expected to just not work. it still does allowing me to watch a smaller range of basic channels (freesat???)
  so I assume if I have HD box without HD package / multiroom, I would still be able to use it for the basic channels and record on to the hard drive - appreciiating I wont be able to access HD specific channels....
• To get the offer you MUST keep the HD Mix for 12 months.
  Even if you were to some how get a HD box and cancel (which you can't) the recording functions do not work without a Sky subscription package or Ј10 p/m fee (in this case multiroom being the best option at Ј10 p/m)
  Do you want an HD box without Multi Room? Sky will do it at Ј49 for the box and Ј60 install whcih is a fantastic deal imo.

  When we took our Sky+HD out I asked about this offer. It is only available in Multi Room for Ј29.
  Was hacked off as the poster states Ј29 but thats if you only take out the Multi Room, its in the tiny so called small print on the posters.
  We paid Ј49 for the Sky+HD and then a furthur Ј30 for installion (we are existing sky customers aswell, just upgraded from sky normal to sky+hd).
