Im not sure if this is on here already so sorry if it is

I'll explain what this is. Well you sign up to this free site. You can call free on 0500 560 152 or sign up online at https://www.shopandscan.com/. When you sign up use the invitation code 'SAGA2005' (this isn't a referal code or anything btw, just a code they gave in a magazine). Then they send you a barcode scanner thing for free and you scan all the barcodes on the products you have bought in a week. You then plug the scanner into your pc and transmit the information to this site. And for giving them the information they reward you with points each week that can be exchanged for vouchers (eg. Argos) or can be exchanged for money to go to a charity. It explains it all on the site really.

• Interesting. It looks like Market Research stuff - out to get data cheaply from you, that is actually worth millions to some companies!
  I've signed up, to see if the savings are any good! If they aren't then I just wont scan anything and return it in the envelope provided!

• Does seem a bit good to be true, but I can see the value in the information that they are after. All depends on the benefits I suppose.
• I've been with them for a while now and I think they're great.
  When you transmit your first shop you receive 10000 points (Ј10) and then for every weekly shop you receive 1000 points (Ј1) It's really simple to do and the scanner is really tiny They are easily contactable if there is a problem on the their freephone number. I choose Amazon vouchers as my reward (not an e-voucher,this is sent through the post.

• Ok the ten quid for sign up is reasonable. But I think one pound a week for scanning isnt very exciting. Scanning all your shopping could take rather a long time...and all for the princely sum of one pound!
• Does the scanner beep like in the shops?
  Might be fun for the kids to beep the items as I put them in the trolley (alright, might be fun for ME then, lol)

• My wife does a similar one for 'Fact Finders' that uses your telephone line to send results. We will give this one a go too I think.

• Looks like there's something wrong with the site. When I click on register I get:
