A question about : Share stuff with your street

Are you a skilled seamstress? Would you share your ladder, lawnmower or lunchbox? Do you have old clothes or clutter taking up space in your cupboards? Would you like to share them with your neighbours?

The website Streetbank wants to help us do just that. Have a look at what your neighbours will lend or give away and maybe offer some time or a skill back in return.

I'm a big fan of sharing and am lucky enough to live on a street with lots of lovely neighbours. We've shared plants, ladders, tickets, DIY skills and more.

• I love sharing stuff.It's a great way to get stuff for FREE! !
  I get Grazia magazine from a friend as she subscribes to it. I then pass it onto another friend. Then the magazine then goes to the doctor's waiting room reception area.
  I share children clothes too. I purchase designer boy's clothes from a great lady at a low price. We share the same fantastic tastes in boy's clothes. Her son is 4 years older than my boys. I first give the clothes for free to another friend with an older son than mine. I then get the clothes back a few years later. Then my oldest then and youngest boys to wear. Clothes then go off to charity shop.
  We share children reading books too. I bought a reading scheme from eBay and shared them with a friend as her son need extra help.
  My lawn mover is round at my neighbour's house along my hose pipe for the garden.
  With the sharing its like earning points or favour credit with my friends and neighbours. I find the more I share the more friend and neighbours are happy to offer help and share their own things with me. It's a GREEN thing to do and what great about it is I save loads and loads of money.

  Ladder, garden planter, clothes, books, toys, DIY tools, computer monitor, food, costume for school play, DVDs, going out clothes, furniture (e.g. red leather sofa) , new things,

  IT skills, education advice for my SEN son, weekly activity for my boys, fashion advisor, Interia advicer, take my boys on a fun day out so my partner & I get a break, counselling,
  I share my stuff and offer loads of money saving advice to others. I also offer advice on which books are useful to help a person out.. Eg The Perfect CV quick easy book to read giving good advice.
  I had a recent job interview and I had an amazing jacket to wear given to me from my wonderful friend who works in high end retail. She no longer needed it so I made good use of it.
  For yearsmy mum friends have shared our skills with each other regarding our children. We have no family near by so we support each other and share skills and stuff. Birthday parties. I do the ballon modelling. I provide face paint with a friend doing the face painting. Another friend organised the food. Another friend provides her house as the venu. We all ensure kids are entertained. Another friend bakes the birthday cake and her husband does a wonderful picture on the cake... like Spiderman. Our birthday parties are virtually FREE with us sharing.

• I use my tractor and flail mower to cut my local pubs lower meadow 4 times a year (rough grass and brambles) and in return i get a sunday lunch for mother, sister, niece and myself, Ј10:00 of diesel for Ј40:00 of dinner (before tax reclaim).
  Trim/Pollard trees for the local people for the wood burner.
  I also cut neighbours hedge/grass when required for I.T. assistance when required.
  I grow as much seasonal fruit, veg and eggs as i can and sell/barter at the local farmshops for things i can't grow.
  Also offer unmarketable crops to neighbours.
  I shoot vermin (pigeons/muntjack/pheasant) on local farmers land for the food!.
  Sustainability and loving it.
