A question about : selling hyper links on ebay!!

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...11134&rd=1

are these guys actually telling the truth? because a lot of people seem to buy into this?

has anyone bought any of these links before?

i'd never dream of it myself, but surely if there were websites like this someone woulda found them and posted them on this site!

what do u guys think?

Best answers:

  • I wouldn't touch one of these auctions with a bargepole.
It is a pyramid scheme and yes there are links to these scam sites on this forum so you can see how they operate for yourself.
As for whether people still bid on these auctions, yes they do as there is a sucker born every minutes. It doesn't matter how any warnings there are on the TV or in newsgroups someone will still bid and then whine afterwards about how they were conned.

  • Wow that sale really takes the biscuit
Not only a pyramid scheme - but even selling the right to view the pyramid scheme.
    Horrible Horrible Horrible
  • Thought ?
The winning bidder may have been a regular who also thought !that it was a con, so sets up a new ID and bids !with no intention of paying , but !so that the seller gets charged ebay fees , and could also maybe leave a neg on his feedback ?
  • that crossed my mind too payless
and maybe a regular here too as their name was

  • There really is a lot of rubbish sold on ebay! I make a point of reporting people who sell links on ebay! A lot of the time they write in tiny writing that it is a link that they are selling, which inexperienced buyers wouldn't see!

  • The last time I looked at the Nokia phone section it was full of links for websites where you can go on a waiting list to get a phone for Ј20.
The worst ones ( as wirm said) are the ones where they make it look as if the auction is for the actual phone...putting loads of technical specs down, & other blurb, then one tiny line at the end "this is a link". Usually the people bidding are the poor Ebay newbies, who are too trusting.
  • So join my campaign then! And help to rid eBay of that rubbish!
