A question about : Self employed sole trader and tax benefits help
Hi all
Myself and my partner have decided to move in together and declare to hmrc we are partners
She currently has 2 children under 5 one in school and does not work
I am self employed as a sole trader and earn in excess of 30.000
We are trying to find out exactly what we are entitled too and if her working will be better. What I read is as its over 30k it does not make a different if she is working or not.
So we are talking
Child benefit
Child tax benefit
Working tAx benefit
Would it be beneficial if I turned the sole on to a Ltd company and paid myself say Ј1200 pm and no dividend at end of year?
Just to be strIght we are not trying to fiddle anything here. Just trying to get as much legal help as we can at the point of moving in to ease things
Thanks
