A question about : Search Engine Easy

Has anyone any experience of these people? They use adwords and landing pages and claim to be able to be the answer to all one's problems and able to drive enormous traffic to businesses.

If it seems to be too good to be true it probably is but I wondered if anyone has used them.

• The idea of adwords and landing pages are simple.... you simply ensure the page the person lands on is highly relevant for the search term they used.
  Assuming your an ecommerce site of some description and your users come to you using highly "buying" search terms then you also streamline navigation to shorten the funnel to get their payment details as to avoid the risk of them coming to your site to buy X and then before buying X get distracted by the fact your site also says you sell Y and disappear off to a different part of the site and forget why they were there in the first place.
  So in very simplistic terms, if you sold electrical goods and someone searched for "TV free delivery" you have a landing page that goes straight to your TV section with big banners highlighting free delivery. Alternatively if someone searched for "TV good customer service" you direct them to a landing page that also has the TV section but rather than banners highlighting free delivery instead have one saying how you've won XYZ awards for your service etc.
  Most will divide people into 3 groups - those that know exactly what they want and want to buy it, those that want to buy and arent sure exactly what and those that are just researching. Your SEM/ SEO strategy should identify how you'll target each of these groups and in particular how your landing pages differentiate their content for the first two.
• There is no SEO involved it is Adwords
  This company offer you five search strings which they will put on first page of Google sponsored listings for initially 99 pounds/month and subsequent months at less, 25 I think. This apparently allows unlimited clickthroughs with no daily caps. They say that because they buy Adwords wholesale they can do this.
  It occurred to me that if I chose some very general keywords it could drive a lot of traffic on keywords that would be too expensive for me to buy on Adwords. Or would this be a waste of time as the traffic would be so unfocussed that even large numbers of clicks would lead to minimum sales.

  martindow & Inside have this spot on, the reason there are so many of these companies contacting businesses is that it's easy money for them.
  Just had a call from someone claiming to be from Search Engine Easy wanting me to part with my hard earned to be on the first page of Google.
  After letting him rant on for 10 minutes about the benefits he was going to provide for me I asked him why I would pay good money to be put on a page I am already on, he stuttered quite a bit, obviously that response was not in the script.
  He said, "You didn't tell me you were already on the first page of Google", to which I replied that he should have done his homework then.
  Sad to say, he then hung up, not the response I would expect from a reputable company.
  There is no search engine optimisation in adwords and anyone can open an account and do it themselves, no big mystery, you pay to be on the first page of Google by bidding on keywords and then by paying when someone clicks on your link.
  It doesn't guarauntee that whoever clicks on your link is actually looking for your products or services, in fact some of these companies have been accused of getting workers to click the links to use the money faster and free up keywords for the next unsuspecting fool, it doesn't guarauntee it will bring you more sales, the only thing guaraunteed with this sort of advertising is that your bank balance will be lower with little or nothing to show for it.
• I would be very weary of Search Engine Easy, the cold called my wife today and they said initially that they were google, they then called a second time and spoke with me. The person was very very pushy and bordering on aggressive, all be it in a friendly sales voice, his answer to the fact that they have had complaints is that all companies have complaints, the example he gave was Nationwide, he says this doesn't stop people banking with them?! And the nature of business is that they all get complaints, which is a strange way to promote yourself! I believe that not all businesses get lots of negative complaints and it all depends on the context of the complaints. Also their website says they are S.E. Easy Ltd but they do not appear on Companies House, which seems odd. As a rule I would always steer clear of people offering things via cold calling!
• I have used search engine easy for my entertainment business not sure if they worked for me or not I got a few jobs out off it but nothing special how do they do it so cheap if I used adwords it would cost me loads of money cos I have been down that route I want to advertise my business on google but not sure what to do can anyone help ?

  They are buying Google Adwords, charging the customer Ј20 and would not be able to tell me how much of that Ј20 is spent on adwords so likely to be very little.
• Remember what you and I see on Google is not the same - there is no 'first page', there is a 'first page for paddyrg' and a 'first page for xyz' etc which takes your previous browsing into account. My own website appears high up the first page for certain terms as I go to that site often. If you search the same terms my site may be on page 4-5.
• Just received call from someone at Search Engine Easy saying they have a unique product that keeps the cost of being on the first page of google in the sponsored listing to a set fee and you will always be there regardless of the number of click. I said that I already use a company who offer this so its not unique to S.E.E. and they hung up.
• I just got a call from them and the guy said this was a brand new service that I might find very useful.
  I asked him to repeat the name of the company and I did a quick search.
  First thing i saw was this thread so I asked him:
  "You say this is a new service?"
  He says "Yes"
  I ask "How New Exactly? Is it Brand New?"
  He says "Erm, a Couple of Months"
  "Oh, that's interesting. It's amazing what you can learn doing a quick search online. You come up top of the search, it's not good."
  "Really...What do you mean?"
  "Well I searched your name and there are lots of people talking about you since 2011 and your new service."

• I also had a call from Search Engine Easy today. I've been using AdWords directly ever since it began, and I'd say there's very little likelihood a company like this will offer you value for money.
• I have been using searchengineasy for just a week and they seem very efficient. They did what they said and I am on the first page of google. You can choose your search phrases and the wording of your ad and you cover all of UK.
  I have been using google Adwords for many years and it as been costing me a fortune. This way seems to be a lots cheaper.
  Just waiting to see if it brings me any business.

• What kind of prices do these guys charge? I have not heard the best things about that company thats all, but alot of you seem to be positive on here about them
• I have just been contacted by Search Engine Easy. I got the hard sell over the phone and asked that they email me details of their offer and who they are. I got a generic email that told me no more than on their website.
  When the guy called back the next day I told him I didn't want to take up his offer. He said he had gone out of his way to send me an email and I was wasting his time. I said with that attitude I certainly wouldn't want to book with them. He replied "we only work with professionals anyway" and hung up.
  These are not the actions of a quality outfit, methinks.
• If you think Ј99 per month is going to get you results you're very wrong
• Its easy to get your details high up on the google search. Costs nothing. You may even make money doing it.
  Setup your business or even a fake business. Rip someone off and if you get the right person. Instantly or maybe overnight if they are a bit slow your companies name and reputation gets to the top of the search.
  Dont they say all advertising good or bad is good?

• OK, an awful lot of opinion but not much info on which to base a decision...
  I have previously used adwords but found it too expensive. I'm a one man band operation so seo is all down to me, and to be honest I'm not very good at it!
  I was contacted by Search Engine Easy yesterday. They were polite, not too pushy and you don't sign up for more than a month.
  If this company can drive more traffic to my website based on search terms I'm already using then they'll be worth the money - Ј100 per month is less than I spent in my prev adwords campaigns.
  I'll give them a try for a month and - if I remember (I might just be snowed under with work) - I'll come back here and let you know how I got on.
