A question about : Scottish power
Hope someone can provide advice
Back in Nov 2014 I found out that another company had tried to take over my gas, I was on a dual fuel tarriff, subsequently scottish power (SP) halved my direct debits,
I rang SP in Nov 2014 and they told me that the other company have realized that it was a erroneous transfer, it's now been fourteen weeks and I have been regularly ringing SP on trying to find out what is happening.
Today they tell me the correct procedure hasn't been followed and today they have raised it with the erroneous transfer team. Makes you wonder what they have been doing with the complaint since november. My concern is nobody has billed me for the gas usage since november, because of this screw up my meter serial numbers have disappeared from the online meter reading service thus all my latest electric bills have been estimated
I received a dead lock letter a few weeks ago on my complaint on not having this resolved in a timely matter
Some time in the future I will have to pay the gas,
Any advice on what my next steps should be, I could just leave it and if they don't sort it then they can't bill me for anything over 12 months

- This is what Ovo has to say on the subject. You will owe SP for the gas that you have consumed. Back billing is unlikely to apply as I doubt that SP will allow you to switch until this matter is resolved.
